Orbit World Travel began in 1994 when Lisa Story purchased a small Westpac Travel office in Sydney. The business quickly expanded across Australia, catching the attention of the House of Travel Group, which invested in 2013. Three years later, Orbit Travel New Zealand and World Travel Professionals merged to form Orbit World Travel - Australasia’s largest privately owned corporate travel company.

In 2019, Orbit joined ALTOUR (formerly the Travel Leaders Network), extending our global footprint and unlocking access to world-class partnerships and technology. When the pandemic reshaped travel, we used the experience to rethink, refine and rebuild - combining innovative technology with human expertise to deliver smarter, simpler, and more resilient travel solutions.

Today, Lisa Story and Michael Chase-Smith, together with Orbit’s Leadership Team, continue to drive the business forward with the same energy and ambition that started it all - guided by a clear vision to create a world where travel is seamlessly simple.
