With a winemaking career spanning 30 years and two continents, Emmanuelle Bekkers brings a very personal connection to both France and Australia to this Hosted Journey.
Born in France, Emmanuelle studied winemaking in her home country before her career brought her to South Australia, where she met her husband, Toby Bekkers, in a McLaren Vale winery in 1995.
Today, she is the owner of Bekkers Wine in McLaren Vale, while maintaining close ties to France, including making her white wines in Chablis.
Throughout the journey, Emmanuelle will host tastings, wine conversations and exclusive onboard experiences, sharing her knowledge and passion for wine in a relaxed and approachable way.
For women who love wine, or simply enjoy discovering the people and stories behind what is in their glass, her presence adds something particularly special to the journey.
For those who would like to experience more of Europe, optional stays in Barcelona and Paris can be added before and after the cruise.
Arrive in Barcelona three days before embarkation and enjoy time discovering the Catalan capital, including a Best of Barcelona city tour and an excursion to the mountains and Abbey of Montserrat.
On 19 August, travel by high-speed train to Nîmes before transferring to Arles to join AmaKristina.
